back

The first descent is always a big moment.
To turn, to brake, or simply to remain standing, one wants to do everything at the same time !
It is better to proceed in order by assimilating bases and some simple gestures.

Position of descent
Body is tilted forward, the legs are bent, the arms are spread .
Weight of the body on the front foot allows to relieve the back foot.
This last one, then, can control direction of the dévaleur.
Please, choose a small hillside and make regular laces.

Advice:
To remain up, it is essential to make succession of laces as with snowboard.
Please, do not wait to fall over on aside to correct trajectory, as one does it on a cycle.
No doubt, it's the fall !

Position of braking
Body is tilted behind, legs are bent, the arms are always spread.
Weight of the body on the back foot allows to make tip over the front foot.
This last one, then, can control the braking with will.
Please, choose a small hillside and make successive brakings.

Advice:
As with car, please, do not brake in the bends.
Please, do not wait to begin a true bend for braking.
No doubt, it's the fall !

The bends
Body is tilted forward, legs are bent, the arms are spread.
Weight of the body on the front foot allows to relieve the back foot.
Please, tip over the weight of the body inward of the bend.
Please, control with the back foot the way to be followed.

Advice:
It is, naturally, the most difficult thing to do, especially for the backside bends.
The important thing is to know how to reduce speed before the bend.
Make bends with low speed and please, accelerate gradually.

The big descent
The first time, it is warm!
Hiding your fear, you forgot everything of your small entrainement-sessions at the bottom of the resort.
And naturally, everybody is going to look at you!

Advice:
The craftiness is to decompose well all the movements, to divide the ground into portions of straight lines and bends.
At the beginning, please, do not hesitate to take schuss in a straight line, in front of the hillside, by braking slowly to go down with low speed...
